Brookline Lunch

Food was extremely tasty. The baklava pancakes are delicious but ridiculously sweet. We also got the Za’atar egg bowl which was super good. Somehow the food was very filling and the restaurant is very very hot due to the door being open and limited air circulation. The tables are dirty and sticky and uncomfortable and place could be cleaner and cooler. Food was tasty though and staff was friendly! Lines are long to enter but for smaller parties it’s pretty short. ALSO IT IS CASH ONLY!! There’s an ATM across the street.

A cozy, character-filled breakfast spot on aptly named Brookline Street. The vibe is pure charm: old wood booths, graffiti-covered walls, and the comforting aroma of sizzling breakfast classics. No frills, just flavor. I ordered the Baklava Pancakes and they were outstanding – fluffy, filled with walnuts, topped with crunchy baklava and rosewater syrup. Middle Eastern dessert meets classic American diner – and it works beautifully. Cash only, and there might be a line, but it’s 100% worth the wait. A true breakfast gem.

Great place, good vibes and solid food. The hype is very real. I tried their Baklava pancakes and it was fantastic. Their Turkish coffee is bound to wake you up. They are cash only so it’s better to have some on you before you go. There’s an ATM right around the corner. I went on a weekend so there was some amount of wait time involved. Would recommend going earlier to avoid waiting too long.

These fluffy, buttery stacks are drizzled with fragrant rose syrup, crowned with pistachios, and topped with delicate shards of filo. They’re familiar yet unexpected: part comforting pancake, part decadent baklava, but transformed into something entirely new when combined. While their indulgence may not suit every palate, they are undeniably a must-try. I also loved the Big Fish Salmon Omelette, generously filled with rough-cut vegetables that gave it a hearty, homemade feel. The portion sizes here are no joke — my two dishes were more than enough for two people to share. Service was warm and attentive despite the bustle of a full house, and the atmosphere carried that lively, friendly hum that makes a brunch outing feel special. One thing to note: they are cash only, so come prepared. If you’re looking for brunch with a cultural flair and flavors you won’t find anywhere else, Brookline Lunch is absolutely worth the wait.

It was a really unique experience. The food was great, had a lot of middle eastern touch to the dishes. The place is run by a family and they are very sweet, recommend and explain the bestsellers to you. The service was quick and clean. The ambience was different. Very open kitchen, little noisy. But overall great dining experience!

100% worth the wait in line, definitely worth the hype. Amazing staff (thank you so much, Abeer! <3), incredible food. The baklava pancakes were outstanding. You won’t be disappointed! (it’s cash only but there’s an ATM right down the street if you need it.)
